Romes Location and Geography:
Rome is located in the Italian Peninsula. It’s central location is in the Mediterranean. Italy extends from Europe toward Africa. Italy was ideally situated to be the center of trade among Asia, Europe, and Africa. Italy has mountains, foothills, and plains. The plains with soil enriched by the silt deposits of mountain streams. The silt washing down the rivers blocked the mouths of rivers, creating mosquito-infested swamps.
